Coming to America is a culturally motivated cinematic presentation based on cultural ignorance, a tenet closely situated to Bourdieu’s cultural knowledge thesis. Although this movie provides an entertaining comedic environment, Audience members may remain unaware of the socially scientific concepts exhibited in the movie. However, the nice guy mystique is something often viewed in movies which has provided it with life, because people tend to emulate what they see in movies whether the concepts carry over into normal life or not.
