Grid

Grid is the latest racing game to roll out of Codemasters game line. This game is great for anybody that likes cars and racing, and even those who do not. Codemasters has long struggled to make a successful racing game to sell to simulation aficionados, and this time they have done it. By using the physics engine from their rally game DiRT, and went back to the premise of their old TOCA pro race driver series game, and they started developing Grid. Grid is an amazingly successful game because it is not only a great driving game, but its design demonstrates that every important detail was acknowledged and taken care of.

When starting Grid, there is no time to prepare for the first race, as u are plopped into the driver’s seat immediately after creating your avatar. The first and subsequent early races serve to earn you driver’s points and money so you can unlock driving offers, and buy cars to create a team. The game is very user friendly in this regard, providing spoken word instructions along the way to provide clarity and ease of use.
